Jesse Hartman - Best Man
Over the last decade, Jesse has become one of Matt’s closest friends. The path has been circuitous, since they were polar opposites in high school and then he and his (now) wife Olivia took the room Matt hoped to move into in Chris’s townhouse. But now, Matt has come to appreciate him more than you could know. They talk every day about any topic under the sun and play golf and softball together. Matt and I also love spending time together with Jesse and Olivia’s kids, Sophie and Emmett. Jesse always looks out for those around him and is ready to drop everything to lend a hand, or a tool, to help in any situation. Matt says he couldnt ask for anyone better to stand at the altar with him.
Carly Cerquone - Maid of Honor
It's hard to put into words the value of Carly's friendship. Carly and I grew up in the same neighborhood, on the same street (shout out Almari Lane). We played softball and took art class together, I crashed Carly's brand new bike into a parked car, and Carly drove me to my first job at Hershey Park before I got my license. In adulthood, our friendship really blossomed. Carly is always there with a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or a dose of her signature wit. In fact, one of my favorite activities is recording podcast episodes with Carly for our show Chronically Correct (AKA sending voice notes back and forth about the various ways everyone else is wrong).
Chris Parks - Officiant
Chris is one of Matt's best friends, a true character we can all appreciate. He holds the record for Most Times as a Best Man, so we wanted to include him in another role. Chris has been part of our story from the early days of Matt and I getting to know each other, and it wouldn't feel right if he wasn't part of the celebration of our wedding. Chris and Matt have known each other since middle school, when they attended church camps at Harvey Cedars together. As adults, Chris and Matt spend time together doing things they love like golfing, playing softball, going on ski trips, and winning trivia at The Rising Sun with our team No Help from Chris. Chris and his family have been amazing to Matt and I. Matt is proud and lucky to call him a friend.
Adeline Fricchione - Flower Girl
Adeline was extremely anti-Gomo (me) when she was first born. In fact, this photo is from her baptism and she is screaming and crying because Gomo is holding her.
However, she loved Gomobu (Matt) from the first time she met him. She loves when Gomobu tells her about fishies and she loves to show Gomobu her shark toys. Now that she's a little older, Adeline has started softening (very) slightly toward Gomo. Sometimes she even deigns to look in my direction!
